4 tips for healthy aging
Multivitamins can improve memory and mood. Antioxidant vitamins and minerals can also promote better eye health as you get older. We're currently offering 5x the rewards points on multivitamins at all of our locations! Offer is valid until October 5, 2019.
2. Keep learning, keep that memory!
One of the awesome (and fun) things you can do to retain sharp memory is to keep learning. Challenging your brain with mental exercise is believed to activate processes that help maintain individual brain cells and stimulate communication among them. Read; join a book group; play chess or bridge; write your life story; do crossword or jigsaw puzzles; take a class; pursue music or art; design a new garden layout; do something you love that gets your noggin runnin’!
3. Nutrition & bone health
A well balanced diet with magnesium and calcium is important for bone health. Having a good amount of leafy greens will help with your suggested magnesium intake. This can help you avoid osteoporosis and osteoarthritis in the future.
4. Proactive eye health
The most important thing you can do for your eye health as you get wiser is to SEE an eye care professional every 1 to 2 years (this depends on your age, and you should double check with your healthcare provider). Although your vision may seem fine, age-related eye diseases often have no symptoms.
